John Roy Stewart (* 17. Oktober 1883 in San Diego, Kalifornien; † 26. April 1933 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Stummfilmschauspieler, Filmschauspieler und Drehbuchautor.
Leben
Roy Stewart wurde 1883 in San Diego, im US-Bundesstaat Kalifornien geboren. Er war der Sohn von William Wallace Stewart (1830–1917) und Elisabeth Ellen „Nellie“ Ryan Stewart (1838–1917). Er hatte mindestens sieben Geschwister.
Zwischen 1915 und 1933 trat er in über 130 Filmen auf. Die meisten seiner Filme waren Stummfilm, auch wenn er auch in Tonfilmen auftrat. 1918 schrieb er das Drehbuch für Cactus Crandall.
Am 26. April 1933 starb er in seinem Haus in Westwood, Kalifornien, an einem Herzinfarkt. Er wurde 49 Jahre alt.[1][2]
